We’re happy to announce that all students can now choose in-person or ZOOM lessons. And, you can decide on a week-to-week basis which option you prefer. Either way, your lesson will occur at your normal day and time.

Want a recorded lesson instead of online or in-person? Please give us at least 24 hours advance notice so your teacher can prepare.

When You Arrive for In-Person Lessons:

  • Please arrive at least 5 minutes early, and call or text to let us know you're here. Then relax in your car or outside the building. We’ll let you know when your teacher is ready for you, and meet you at the door. Our text is 401-889-4466. The office phone is 401-563-7030.
  • We allow 4 people in the waiting area at a time. This space is reserved for parents waiting for their children's lesson to finish. Parents can also ZOOM into the lesson to watch from your phone.
  • All of our lesson rooms can accommodate six feet of social distance. Please keep 6 feet of distance from teachers, staff, and other customers.

How Remote Lessons work via ZOOM:

Before your lesson, we’ll send you a ZOOM link by email and text. The ZOOM app is easy to use. You can even record your lesson! We recommend that you download the ZOOM Cloud Meetings app in advance, so you're prepared on your lesson day.

At the time of your lesson, click the link from your phone, iPad or laptop. You'll be prompted to download or run ZOOM on your device. Follow the simple instructions to see and hear your teacher, enable your camera, and join using Internet Audio. In the ZOOM "chat” window, your teacher can...

  • share links to online music for you to print at home
  • send you a link to view the music online
  • send YouTube links to voice students who need accompaniment music at home.

You can also scan your music and send it prior to your class to info@providenceschoolofmusic.com. We'll get the music to your teacher, and help you get the most from every lesson.

If you can't attend an online lesson, your teacher can record a video lesson for you, so you can learn and practice at your convenience.
